Tony Shalhoub stars in this cable television series as Adrian Monk, a former San Francisco homicide detective who lost his job after developing an acute case of obsessive-compulsive disorder when his wife was murdered. Dedicated to catching criminals as a private investigator now and accompanied by his nurse Sharona, Monk fights crime relying on keen observation and his obsessive attention to even the most minute details of each case.
